DESPITE an initial forecast of extreme heat for much of the weekend, the Hamilton Campdraft encountered the opposite with rain adding some spice to the event on Saturday.

The three-day event kicked off the local campdraft circuit with the Gazette event getting underway at 6am on Friday and running through the weekend and finishing on Sunday.
