ZOE Addinsall competed in the 2023 UIPM World National Laser Run Championships in Bath UK, at the end of August, and while not claiming a podium finish she did shine by finishing in the Under-17 girls event, and ninth in the Under-17 Mixed relay with Max Clarke.
She competed in the Under-17 female qualifying and ran very consistent race coming fifth which gained her a place in the final where she ran a creditable 10:32:30 which saw her placed 13th.
While she had strong opposition she did manage to finish as the highest placed Australian ahead of the other three Under-17 representatives.
Max Clarke and Addinsall then combined to compete in the mixed Under-17 relay event where they finished fifth., which was a strong performance by both athletes and a great experience for both as they came up against the best in the world.
Addinsall is still in training and will be heading to Perth at the end of September for the 2023 Pony Club Australia National Championships in Tetrathlon.
The riding component for the event will take place in Melbourne, which saves the athletes the cost of transporting their mounts, then she will fly to Perth for the remaining three disciplines.
Addinsall, representing Dunkeld Pony Club, has just been awarded the 2022 Pony Club Australia Tetrathlon Under-17 Junior Female Award, after solid performances throughout 2022 saw her take out the championship.
Hamilton Pony Club saw Charles Hiscock finish second and Finley Hiscock third in the sub-Junior male section while Macarthur Pony Club had Gwyneth Homer finish third to see the local clubs well represented on the national stage.
