WESTERN Speedway roars back into action tonight to kick off the 2024-25 speedway season.
Super Rods are the feature class with 12 V8 powered cars thundering around the recently reshaped track.
The field includes Hamilton drivers, Michael Grist and Jamie Ackland, who will compete for the Western Series Cup, with each car contesting three heats and a 20-lap final.

The Limited Sportsman class recently held a set up learning day at Hamilton, with previous title holder, Lindsay Trotter, sharing his knowledge.
First time Hamilton driver, Ash Harrison, will be putting what he learned into practice, as he debuts his HA22 tonight.
Craig Ansell, Shaun Hutchins and Katelyn Worthy, driving last year’s Victorian Title winning car, will also feature.
Nine Production Sedans have entered with two-time national and seven-time state title holder, Stephen Laidlaw, from Rosedale will headline the list.
Hamilton father and son duo, Shane and Colby Hammond, brothers Heath and Mark Riley, and veteran driver, Dehne Sparrow, will also be out to protect their turf.
The final support class for the night is the Standard Saloons with 13 nominations received.
Hamilton will be represented by Lily Davis, Luke King and Greg Hutchins.
