Hurricanes host Redbacks in CBL round four clash

THE Hamilton Hurricanes will be back on the court for another home Country Basketball League (CBL) clash, hosting Ararat in round four action tonight.

The Hurricanes finished strongly last week against Terang, going down by just five points, and will be hoping to carry that momentum into tonight’s match-up.

Ararat was the only team Hamilton defeated at home last season, and no doubt the visitors will be hoping for a better performance, but the Dean Le Roy-coached Hurricanes have been building and the team has already shown they are gelling in the first couple of games of the 2024 campaign.

Jakob Greaves and Josh Miller did the bulk of the scoreboard damage last week and Miller has shown he can put together consistent outputs regularly at CBL level.

Bailey Cooper and Shai Bunworth also have solid CBL experience and will play important roles throughout.

Hamilton goes into the clash as the only team without a win, with Ararat sitting fourth despite only having one win to its name.

The Hurricanes have a double header next weekend, and so will be looking for a bit performance tonight in front of a typically strong home crowd at HILAC.

Tip off is scheduled for 6pm.
