HAMILTON Hurricanes star, Josh Miller, has capped off a stunning Country Basketball League (CBL) season with All Star 5 selection.
Coming off his best season to date, putting up 240 points to be the leading scorer for the competition, Miller earnt a spot in the Team of the Year, with the 18-year-old excited to tick off the achievements.
“It feels very good, it was my goal in the first season I played to be in the top five and this season it was my goal to be the leading scorer and make the All Star Five, so I feel like I have accomplished those two things now,” he said.
Having played Big V during 2024 between CBL campaigns, Miller embraced the chance to play at a higher level, and brought a lot more knowledge to the game during the most recent Hurricanes’ season.
“I definitely noticed a big difference after playing Big V against grown physical men,” he said.
“I made sure I stretched a lot and took recovery pretty seriously, my leadership took a big step this season after playing in Warrnambool for Big V.”
The 18-year-old’s next goal is ensuring he can be part of team success.
“I want to win a ring, so that is my next goal.
“Thanks to everyone who helped out, the association, teammates and coaches.”
