CRICKET associations will have to get creative if they are to play representative games, after Melbourne Country Week (MCW) was cancelled for the 2020-21 season due to coronavirus concerns.

Junior country week carnivals are also in doubt after a final decision from the Victorian Country Cricket League (VCCL) was delayed after it met on Monday night.

The decision to cancel MCW means senior teams could miss out on playing representative cricket this season.
