ST Andrew’s and Pigeon Ponds faced off in a Hamilton and District Cricket Association (HDCA) round two thriller at Melville with the visitors winning by a single run on Saturday.

Ponds won the toss and elected to send the home team to the crease first and the move was soon validated when Brendan Huf (five) and Darryl Fry (six) were dismissed without any significant scoreboard damage.
