HISTORY will be made in the coming days with the inaugural Mullagh Medal set to be presented at the MCG.
The Boxing Day Test between Australia and India will take on extra significance this year with the man of the match awarded the inaugural medal, named after Johnny Mullagh (Unaarrimin).
Mullagh was part of the first Australian cricket team to tour England, making the long trip for 47 matches over a four-month period in 1868, hailing from from Pine Hill Station and the wider Harrow region.
Harrow Discovery Centre manager, Josie Sangster said it was important recognition for someone who had a positive influence on the sport more than 150 years ago.
