Grampians v Pigeon Ponds

THE Hamilton and District Cricket Association A grade ladder-leaders, Pigeon Ponds will be looking to redeem its only loss of the season when it takes on Grampians today.

The Pumas took the points when the two teams did battle in round one and the Peter Staude led Pigeon Ponds will want to put forward a much better performance today.

The proposition of ending the day with a win is a difficult ask, especially travelling to the Pumas fortress that is the Dunkeld Turf.

Staude said his side was glad to be back playing after a break over Christmas but knows the challenge Grampians presents.

“Everyone is nice and refreshed after a good Christmas break and excited to get back into it,” he said.
