Crowd caps eased ahead of season opener

FOOTBALL and netball clubs around Victoria are seeing crowd restriction caps eased with up to 5000 spectators now allowed at community games across the state.

Outdoor events are now being classed as low risk environments, which for local clubs is fantastic news.

They are required to have no more than 5000 participants or spectators and the event can not exceed 75 percent of the venue’s capacity.

If outdoor events do meet the following guidelines, clubs will have to submit a COVIDsafe event plan and submit an attestation form confirming that necessary measures are in place to ensure the event is held in a COVIDSafe manner.
