THE Western Victoria Female Football League has released its 2024 fixture with Cavendish set to enter the senior women’s competition for the first time.
The season gets underway on April 14, with the Hamilton Kangaroos will unfurl their 2023 senior women’s premiership flag in round two when they host Horsham at Pedrina Park on April 21.
The Kangaroos will then host Cavendish the following week.
Cavendish is set to field teams in both the Under-18 and senior women’s competitions, while the Kangaroos have an Under-15 side and senior women’s team.
The 10-round season has three byes, with Mother’s Day (May 12), June 16 and July 7 all weeks off, with the latter doubling as a pre-finals bye before finals get underway on July 14.
The grand final is locked in for July 21, where the Kangaroos will be looking to win their third consecutive senior women’s premiership.
Koroit is set to enter the league with the Saints set to field an Under-15 side for the first time.
