PENSHURST was not fazed to be on the road and pitted against the Mininera and District Football League reigning premier, Tatyoon, as the two sides met at Tatyoon Recreation Reserve with the Bombers raining goals all day long to claim victory, 20.19 (139) to 3.8 (26).
The Bombers are yet to taste defeat this season and they sit atop the premiership ladder, well ahead of both Lismore-Derrinallum and Wickliffe-Lake Bolac on percentage.
The visitors had four majors on the board in the first quarter, before the home side posted one, and when the siren sounded, the Bombers held a 24-point lead that they didn’t surrender.
Penshurst was wasteful in front of goals in the second term, only adding 3.7, as the home side matched the visitors, but the Bombers were six goals clear by the half time siren.
The second half was all Penshurst, as Tatyoon failed to kick another major, but the Bombers would add a further 12 goals to clearly outplay the Hawks.
With Cooper Rentsch, Aaron Glare, Josh Rentsch, Jayden Watson, Ben Marti, and William Bester being the pick of the players for the Bombers, while Ash Munari, Trent Baird, Sean McDougall, Sam Phillips, Jarrod Blandford, and Thomas Quick were the best in a well-beaten team.
Hawkesdale-Macarthur d Caramut
ASIDE from a third quarter lull, Hawkesdale-Macarthur was never troubled against Caramut at Macarthur Recreation Reserve, winning 19.20 (134) to 8.8 (56).
The Eagles came out for the opening half determined to ensure the points were safely in hand, as the home team kicked five goals in the first term, followed by another six in the second to lead by 11 goals at the long break.
The Swans came out in the third quarter and took the game up to its hosts by kicking six goals to two, giving their supporters a glimmer of hope leading into the last term.
That glimmer was quickly snuffed out, as the home side regrouped to land another six majors, while keeping the visitors to only one more for the final term.
Alexander White, Sam Hodgins, Rick Glare, Hamish Wortley, Jaxen Dalton, and Joseph Forrest gave the Eagles the edge over the Swans, as White landed five goals on his own, while Phillip Chatfield, Jacob Lacy, David Stretton, Billy Briggs, Seth Pearse, and Jackson Campbell-Brown were the best of the visitors.
Glenthompson-Dunkeld d Moyston-Willaura
THE Rams hosted Moyston-Willaura at Dunkeld Recreation Reserve and the home side enjoyed a percentage-boosting victory against the struggling Pumas, 23.20 (158) to 4.6 (30).
The home side won all four quarters and kept the Magpies to a single goal after half time in a dominant display that was orchestrated by coach, Tom Waters, who booted five goals of his own in a best-on-ground performance.
Glenthompson-Dunkeld was without Zach Burgess for the game, but it was Waters provided the forward focal point, while the midfield dominated the whole match.
Aside from Waters, the Rams had Jack Burton, Ben Potter, DJ Woods, Tyler Staude, and Andrew Fry all perform well, while the Pumas looked to Joshua Day, Rhys Cronin, Joshua Fiegert, Ryan Heard, Harley Healy, and Sam Lehmann to provide the go-forward.

The Eagles took the game up to their hosts all game long, trailing by only 10 points at the three quarter time siren, but that final term from the home side took the wind from the sails of the visitors, as the Demons maintained their undefeated start to the season.
Stawell’s Central Park hosted the Great Western against Wickliffe-Lake Bolac battle, with the home side eventually going down to the Magpies, 13.8 (86) to 14.16 (103).
The Lions showed the value in kicking straight, as the Magpies were wasteful in front of goals in the first half to allow Great Western to stay in the contest, despite having 10 more shots on goal to lead by only five points at the main break.
A five goals to three third term opened the margin to 22 points, and despite the home side winning the final term, it couldn’t bridge the gap.
Woorndoo-Mortlake regained its place on the winners list after the shock loss to Hawkesdale-Macarthur last round, claiming the points at the Mininera Recreation Reserve against SMW Rovers, 17.20 (122) to 8.5 (53).
The Bulldogs are yet to post a victory at home this season, and the side allowed the visitors to run away in the final term, as the margin blew out 69 points.
