THE Hamilton Kangaroos continued their unbeaten start to the season, easily accounting for Port Fairy in the Open clash at Melville Oval, 79-26, on Saturday.

The pressure was high throughout the game from the home side, eventually going on to record a 79-26 win.
Danielle Van Kalken was named the Roos’ best, while Tilly Balmer impressed for Port Fairy.
Roos co-coach, Kellie Sommerville said
“After our game against Portland, we had a flat game and so it was nice to come out and get some confidence back for the girls,” she said.
“Who would want to play against the circle against those two (Van Kalken and Hayley Sherlock).
“I think we have got our foundations really good now, it is just the details we need to implement and so just elevating our skills and systems, it is just refining the details going forward.
“We know we have a lot more to give, so that is exciting for us.”
For the visitors, it was another tough day on the court, but was another opportunity to grow as a team.
Seagulls coach, Allahna Edwards said it was another learning experience for the players against a strong side.
“The girls are improving every week and giving everything they have got,” she said.
“It is really important for the young ones to understand they are coming up against some quality players.”
