MANY older readers will have memories (either fond or otherwise) of a hit song from 1988 by UK artist Yazz, ‘The only way is up’, which may well be the theme song for the Hamilton Kangaroos as they battle ladder leaders South Warrnambool at Melville Oval today.

The game has been moved from Friendly Societies Park in Warrnambool due to the continued refurbishment of the change rooms at that venue, and this must be of some advantage to the Kangaroos even though the side is holding up the rest of the competition ladder.
