Eagles come from behind to down Tigers

HAWKESDALE-MACARTHUR has come from behind to defeat Woorndoo-Mortlake at Woorndoo Recreation Reserve, 35-31, keeping its undefeated start to the Mininera and District Netball Association season intact on Saturday.

The Eagles rallied after being five goals down at the first break to claw their way back into the contest, winning the next three quarters to claim the points on offer.

Down by five goals at the first change, the Eagles lessened that to only three goals at the main break, before taking control of the game during the third term and grabbing the lead late to win by four goals.

Melissa Blackberry and Laura Addinsall were the standouts for the visitors, while Sarah Cameron impressed for the Tigers.

The victory keeps the Eagles in third spot, and will host second-placed Tatyoon at Macarthur next Saturday.
