PENSHURST stalwart, Tim McGregor, celebrated game number 300 on Saturday against SMW Rovers with a best-on-ground performance in round five of the Mininera and District Football League, as the Bombers cruised to a six-goal victory at Mininera Recreation Reserve on Saturday, 15.15 (105) to 10.9 (69).
With all 300 games being played at the senior level with no junior games included, it makes the accomplishment all the greater for the veteran who bagged six majors to mark the occasion.
Penshurst has turned its season around after starting 2023 with two losses in the opening two rounds, winning the last three games to sit on the sixth rung of the premiership ladder, as its percentage keeps it from being higher.
The Bombers took control of the match from the opening siren, opening a 20-point gap on its hosts by quarter time and from there increased the margin with each passing period.
McGregor was joined by his brother, Will, for the milestone game and together they gave the Bombers two avenues to goal up front with Will kicking four goals.
With Tim named best on ground, the Bombers were also well served by Aaron Glare, Henry Bensch, Archie Page, Noah Cameron and Jayden Watson, despite the best efforts of Bulldogs, Ben Boatman, David Box, Andy Campbell and Daniel Curran to spoil the party.

The Rams suffered from injuries to key players throughout contest, as Nathan Fall, Tyler Fehsler and Tyler Staude all succumbed during the game, although Jezza Woods, Matthew Lowe, Calvin Ross, Tyler Staude, Mitchell Johnson and Ben Cole played well for the visitors.
Henry Maconochie, Jesse Johnson, William Paulin, Richard McCormick, Rick Spokes and Tim Ackerley took care of business for the Tigers.
Tatyoon accounted for Hawkesdale-Macarthur away from home at Macarthur Recreation Reserve, 19.22 (136) to 2.9 (21), despite the best efforts of Jack Wortley, Aaron Seabrook, Hamish Gleeson, Xavier McCartney and Luke Gow for the Eagles, while Josh Bibby, Kieran Collins, Andrew Browne, Zac Tunbridge and Andrew Maconachie ensured the Hawks remained on top of the ladder.
Ararat Eagles were accurate with its kicking for goal, putting Lismore-Derrinallum to the sword at Alexandra Oval, 17.9 (111) to 5.5 (35).
Ararat dominated every quarter with Tom Taurau, Reece Kettle, Damian Joiner, Jaydo Wright, Jordan Thomas and Naish McRoberts starring for the home side, while James Halloran, Dale Marquand, Henry Walsh, Steven Ryan, William Beever and Josh Sanders did their best for the Demons.
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac was never in danger of losing to Great Western at Lake Bolac Recreation Reserve, cruising to a 104-point victory, 21.19 (145) to 6.5 (41).
The Magpies will be rueing the inaccuracy of their goal kicking, eyeing off a huge percentage boost as Lachlan Reilly, Lewis Brice, Cam Zula, Lewis Crichton, James Boseley and Jake Williamson did all they could for the home side.

The Swans were no match for their fellow cellar dwellers despite winning the last term, as Moyston-Willaura looked to Rhys Cronin, Logan Cooper, Alex Close, Ned Bohner, Damien Smith and Harry Evans had their best game to date.
Nathan Murphy, Caleb Arthur, Thomas Hutchings, Patrick Drake, Seth Pearse and Dylan Campbell did all they could in reply for the Swans.
