MININERA and District Netball Association has seen the top six sides all record victories against the bottom six teams in a round of games that followed the form line and left the finals race wide open with three games remaining in the home and away season.
Penshurst remained in contention for a finals spot and is outside the top five on percentage, equal with Lismore-Derrinallum on points after a sound victory against a tough Glenthompson-Dunkeld on Saturday.
The Bombers must win the remainder of their games to secure a finals berth and with a home game against Lismore-Derrinallum this coming weekend, then their fate is in their hands.
A strong first quarter against the Rams on Saturday set the Bombers up for the victory as the home side kept the visitors at arm’s length for the remainder of the game to win, 38-32.
Despite playing good netball, the visitors couldn’t bridge the gap over the remaining three quarters as Penshurst was well served by Lydia Ewing and Sophie Rentsch, while Glenthompson-Dunkeld looked to Nicki Lowe and Jessica McLeod for leadership.

Lismore-Derrinallum kept a foothold on the fifth rung of the ladder with a 32-goal victory against Great Western, 61-29, at Lismore Recreation Reserve.
Paris Murray and Annabelle Arnold were best on court for the home side while Kiara Pitcher and Abbey Moar did their best for the visitors.
Hawkesdale-Macarthur made the road trip to Caramut Recreation Reserve and thrashed the Swans, 80-21 as the Eagles warmed up for a finals campaign with Josephine Barker and Mel Blackberry dominating.
TATYOON maintain its undefeated season with an away victory against SMW Rovers, 57-33 at Mininera Recreation Reserve with Annie Fraser and Alice Astbury ensuring the Hawks form continued unabated, but Lucy Graham and Taylah Fisher did all they could to test the ladder leaders for the Bulldogs.
ARARAT dominated Moyston-Willaura as expected at Alexandra Oval with a 59-14 victory that keeps the Eagles a clear second on the ladder.
