O’Brien tees off in first rep comp

HAMILTON’S Molly O’Brien’s golf game has benefited from the impact of COVID-19, as she played her first representative golf tournament earlier this month.

Growing up, Molly enjoyed a social hit of golf with her dad, Mark.

They would spend their time on the course with Mark teaching Molly the game and the duo developing their skills together.

Being a keen basketballer and netballer, Molly often prioritised her other sports ahead of golf, until COVID-19 hit.

Her other sports were no longer available, while restrictions allowed golf to go ahead which in turn allowed the 14-year-old to further work on her game.
