A FIELD of 59 men and 20 ladies took to the course last Saturday for a stableford round.
Gary McFarlane had the standout round of the day with 41 points, to collect the best overall score and B grade win.
A grade was won by Tim Lloyd with 39 points, one clear of runner-up, Steven Coate, while Jason McIntosh finished third with 37.
Runner-up to McFarlane in B grade was Rob Stagoll with 38 points, with Nicholas O’Brien claiming third spot on a countback with 36.
Ball run down went to Andrew Bowman 36, Callem Mizzi, Michael Holcombe, John Raymond, Scott Anderson 34, Tyler Hards, Paul Ryan, Graham Rentsch and John Andrews 33, and Bruce Luhrs 32
The women’s winner was Helen Williams with 39 points to finish ahead of runner-up, Tania Cullinane, on a countback from Jo Forsyth with 33.
Ball run down went to Judy Thornton 31 points, Jenni Pike and Enid Smith 30.
Nearest the pins went to Jo Brown and David Edwards on the third, Coate on the sixth, Andrew Bowman on the 13th, and Forsyth and Michael Holcombe on the 16th.
The closest second shot on the ninth went to Kedar Giles and Luhrs collected the honour on the 15th.
Tuesday
THE club’s Beginner and Emerging Golfers Program has been boosted with a $500 grant from the Victorian Golf Foundation, which was used towards purchasing two sets of clubs for the beginners to use.
This week the beginners and emerging golfers had a lesson from visiting professional, Daniel Defelice, who worked on playing out of bunkers, chipping and putting.

Wednesday
THE women had their Monthly Medal stroke and putting competition with 46 players participating this week.
Shellie Peardon continued her good form, winning the Monthly Medal and A grade honour for the second month in a row.
Peardon finished with 73 nett to finish ahead of runner-up, Enid Smith, with 74 nett.
B grade was won by Eileen Robertson, who has also been in the winning circle quite frequently.
Robertson finished with 77 nett to win on a countback from Elaine Rentsch.
Balls down the line went to Venita Mibus, Jeanette Carmichael 76, Suzanne Bensch, Kath Hartwich 78 and Helen Holcombe 79 nett.
Nearest the pins went to Pam King on the third, Lynne Mooney on the sixth and Sandy Venrenen on the 16th.
The longest putt on the ninth went to Vanrenen, Margie Hadley collected on the 13th, while the closest second shot on the 15th was won by Alma Fonda.
Lyn Satchell had the putter firing, winning the putting competition with 27 putts.
