Bunker shots

EVEN though golf is deemed a winter sport, this year has been exceptionally wet not just the Hamilton course, but places like Horsham who traditionally don’t have any issue.

May clubs are cancelling events due to courses being too wet.

We can only hope that conditions improve soon.

There are no results to report on, as we haven’t been able to run a competition for a couple of weeks.

Upcoming events

FRIDAY nights are always a good time to visit the club for a social catch up, with member draws and happy hour from 5pm onwards.

The club’s AGM will be held on Tuesday at 7pm at the golf club and it would be great to see a good turnout.

Western District Health Service is holding its annual fundraiser on November 18.

It is an ambrose event, with teams of four and there are still some places available in the field.

Anyone requiring further information should contact the community liaison team at Western District Health Service.

Our annual tournament will run from November 23-27, and further details are available by contacting the club.

Hopefully we will be back to our regular golf soon, hit them long and straight and enjoy the 19th hole.
