A HOLE-in-one was the ultimate way to cap off the year for Casterton golfer, Pete Larkins.
After taking out the club’s 2022 C Grade Championship in June and B Grade division of the December tournament, Larkins lined-up for one last hit at the club’s regular Saturday men’s competition.
It took no time at all for Larkins to make the most of the day, his one-stroke hole coming on the 2nd.
In addition to being an outstanding personal finale to 2022, Larkins’ ace-in-the hole may have set a new record for the Casterton club.
Larkins was the fourth Casterton Club member to join the elite hole-in-one club this year, with Margaret Martin and Roy McCallum also making their marks on the 2nd, while Sally Houlihan achieved the magoc score on the 13th – possibly the the first time that hole has been beaten in more than two decades.
