PLEASANT conditions tempted a good field of golfers to play a stroke round plus putting for Saturday’s Monthly Medal round.
Competition was fierce resulting in a count back for the top three positions.
The Monthly Medal and meat tray winner was George Donaldson after he returned with a score of nett 68.
The voucher winner was Ron Oakley with nett 68, while Allan Hitchcock was second also on 68, Mary McCallum was third with nett 70, Sue Irvin recorded nett 71 and Peter Irvin was fifth with nett 73.
Nearest the pins went to Peter on the second and 13th, Barry Oldaker on the eighth, and Bruce Taylor on the 15th.
Closest second shot on the second went to James Brown and Taylor saluted on the 11th.
Longest putt honours went to Dale Grambeau on the first, Taylor on the 16th, Sue on the 17th and Lil Hay on the 18th.
The straightest longest drive on the ninth went to James Brown, with Toby Salter collecting the birdies and ferrets.
The roster to prepare the scrapes before play each Saturday proved a key factor in Dale Grambeau taking out the putting competition.
Wednesday
IT was a stableford round across the inward nine plus the first, second and ninth.

Fifth place went to Bill Evans with 24 points.
Nearest the pins went to Cook on the second, Evans on the 13th, and Oldaker on the 15th.
Longest putt on the first was won by Wilkinson.
Friday
