GOLF is a sport where the focus is usually on individual performance, yet it affords the opportunity for an enjoyable afternoon of socialising with friends or family.
The appeal of the Parklands course and the low $10 fee for green fees players means the course is utilised by many groups of friends for social rounds of golf each week.
There are many competition formats which provide the chance for players to play as a team.
The three-person gentsomes competition held on Sunday was one of these, with many family groups spending an enjoyable afternoon together, as the family-based teams dominated the leader board.
