A FIELD of 33 men and 16 women participated in Saturday’s stableford event.
Bill Tyson is in good form and finished with a great score of 40 points to win from Aiden Christie with 39.
Luke Fitzgerald rounded out the placings on a countback with 36 points.
Balls down the line went to Trevor Haley and Jack Hutchins 36, Kynan Caruana, Andrew Bowman, Bruce Luhrs and Rob Stagoll all 34.
Nearest the pin on the third hole and winner of the superpin competition was Nicholas Armstrong, who took home $48.
Nearest the pin on the sixth went to Chuck Raymond, Tyson on the 13th, and Terry Dunn on the 16th.
The closest second shot on the ninth was won by Kim Fielke.
In the women’s event, Molly O’Brien had a standout round to finish with 38 points with Robyn Holcombe finishing runner-up with 36.
Balls down the line went to Amy Knight and Jo Forsyth 33, and Liz Nichol 31.
Nearest the pin on third hole was won by Vicki Anderson with O’Brien taking out 13th and 16th nearest the pins.
Wednesday
THE October Monthly Medal was on offer for the 37 women who took to the course.
It was great to see Marlene Clarke winning the medal after she finished with 74 nett, also topping the B grade scores, ahead of runner-up, Dawn Cay, who recorded 78 nett.
The A grade winner was Cheryl Brinkmann with 77 nett from Holcombe 78 nett, while the C grade honours went to Jen Hutton with 82 nett, ahead of runner-up, Bronwyn Dwight, who scored 83 nett.
Balls down the line went to Lyn Satchell 79, Debbie Milne 80, Venita Mibus, Kerryn Price and Rita Walkom all on 81 nett.
Nearest the pin on the third and 16th holes was Kerryn Price, while Bronwyn Dyke took out the longest putt on 13th hole.
Clarke won the putting with 29 putts.
Holcombe won the final round of the Silver Spoon and will now go onto the State Final at Gardiner’s Run Golf Club in November.
Tuesday
RESULTS from the beginners group saw Grant Hornell take the top honours with a very handy 21 points from Kris Fox on 15.
In the emerging group, Kerry Martin and Leigh Coggins both finished with 17 points.

The women will be holding a 4BBB on October 16 and then there is also a four-person ambrose (any combination) on October 20.
