THE Glenelg Region Hockey Association continued with Coleraine Black dominating Demons in Division 1 Women round 10 action in Sunday’s late game.
It was a dominant performance from Black, with the team putting up the biggest margin of the round in a strong attacking performance from the team.
Phoebe Ross topped the scoring with a hat-trick for Black, while Jane McCulloch and Roxy Northcott scored twice each and Millie Mould once in the 8-0 victory
The early game saw Dunkeld White and College battle it out to a 2-2 draw in a thrilling contest.
Emma Robertson and Skye Headlam each found the back of the net once for College, while Joanna Macleod and Margaret Williams scored at the other end for White to ensure the teams split the points.
The round 10 games got underway on Friday night with Dunkeld Blue winning comfortably against Coleraine Stripes, 5-1.
Ella Peters was the only multiple goal scorer, finishing with two for Dunkeld Blue, while Jessica Hein, Matilda Potter and Nula Conheady all scored once.
Clara Dettling was the lone name on Coleraine Stripes’ scorer list.
Men’s Division 1
THE round got underway with Bulls edging out College, 3-2, on Friday night.
James Broad scored twice for the winner, along with a single from Cooper Hein, while Harry Brown and Isaac Shaw each found the back of the net once for College.
Sunday’s early game saw the Jakabytes fall to Demons by three goals.
Ashley Steele, Ryan Hilsdon and William Crane each scored once in the 3-0 victory.
The late game on Sunday was the highest scoring game of the men’s round, with Couldabeens edging out Rams, 4-2.
Doug Cameron and Sam Walsh scored singles for Rams, while Couldabeens’ scorers were not listed.
Four rounds remain before finals and with finals spots still up for grabs, it shapes up to be an enthralling final month of the home and away season.
