WITH many associations and leagues playing their grand finals this month, it was the Glenelg Region Hockey Association seasons which wrapped up with season deciders on Saturday.
Division 1 Women
COLLEGE claimed the top prize in the Division 1 Women’s season decider, winning 2-1, against Dunkeld Blue.
Emma Robertson was the difference, scoring twice for College to give them the lead when it mattered most, while Grace Potter found the back of the net once for Dunkeld Blue in the final game of the season.
A pair of yellow cards were also given out during the clash, but it was College which got to celebrate in the end.
Division 1 Men
RAMS got the better of College in a high-scoring Division 1 Men’s grand final, 6-4.
Alistair Lewis was Rams’ standout, scoring five times to ensure his team got over the line.
Sam Walsh added a goal in support for the winners.
Henry Dorahy scored a double for College, with Ciaran Nelson and Jack Jarvis also finding the back of the net.
Other games
THE 16-and-Under clash saw College Gold hold off rival, College White, with a 6-4 result.
The Division 4 clash saw Foxes edge out Dunkeld in a thrilling finale to the season, winning 3-2, while the Division 5 match-up was a low-scoring contest, with Tigers finding the back of the net once to win, 1-0, against Dunkeld.
