HEATHMERE has had the opportunity to showcase their new netball dresses in the first three rounds of the South West Football Netball League season, which were designed by A reserve and junior player Tigrha Cleary.
Wiradjuri woman Cleary was born and raised on Gunditjmara Country and said her design reflects the connection of teams and clubs that has been a huge part of her experience at Heathmere.
“Our netball coordinator Kira (Horsburgh) messaged me and asked if I’d like to do a design for the netball dresses and I said yes straight away,” she said.
“I had to use the Heathmere colours of black and white and the design I chose is similar to other ones I have been working on.
“The design tells the story of a team and how we come together and go on a playing journey together, which is how I feel about my time at Heathmere, they’ve been like a big family to me.
“The big circle areas represent the team coming together and the lines connecting them represent our journey.”
