THREE local netballers will be off to Melbourne this weekend for Netball Victoria’s annual association championships Finals Day.
Held at the State Netball Centre, the Finals Day will feature the best of the best in terms of local netball interleague sides, with the Hampden FNL to represent the Western Zone in all four grades between 13-and-unders, 15-and-unders, 17-and-unders and Open.
Portland will have two playing representatives, with Gracie Piergrosse set to feature in the 13-and-under side which was victorious at the Western Zone championships.
Meanwhile, Portland-based Koroit player Millie Jennings will feature in Hampden’s Open netball side.
Portland will also have some representation in an umpiring capacity, with Portland netball coordinator Charley Samson to be a part of the officiating team for the day.
• Hampden will have a bye across all grades of football and netball this weekend as the home and away season reaches its midway point.
