THE Hamilton Kangaroos tasted victory in the Hampden Football Netball League Open division for the first time on Saturday after defeating Portland Tigers in the round 13 clash at Dunkeld Recreation Reserve, 33-31.

The Roos worked hard early, leading 7-6 at the first change of ends, before the home side started to edge clear on the scoreboard.
