THE Hamilton Racing Club is gearing up for the annual Party With The Ponies gallops meeting on Tuesday.
For well over a decade, the club has provided a great platform in celebrating the International Day of People with Disability.
Along with many off-track activities, an eight-event program should provide great racing entertainment and plenty of opportunities for punters to find some extra cash as we approach Christmas.
The club will be thrilled with the fields, both for size and depth, as there looks to be multiple chances in most races.
Market moves will be critical, especially for the debutantes and runners first-up from spells.
Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr saddle up a first-up chance, while another looks well-placed third up from a break.
Former New Zealand import, Upwoods, finished his last preparation with a midfield finish at Caulfield in July and will find the 1600 Ace Radio Maiden Plate perfect for a first-up win with leading rider, Dean Yendall.
Ferlazzo also looks ready to win in the Walkers Earthworks BM58 Handicap over the same trip for the same trainer and jockey combination.
Symon Wilde and his stable are flying, and it will pay to follow all runners the team saddles up.
Flemington trainer, Nick Ryan, has three runners at the meeting, any moves in the betting usually reflects in the results for this shrewd punting stable.
Rhys McLeod has been booked for all three rides.
Good punting.
