‘We can change this’ - Council releases draft budget

RATEPAYERS are being urged to tell Glenelg Shire Council what they want in this year’s budget, with the way open for changes if there is enough support.

The 2023-24 draft budget, which councillors unanimously approved to be released for public consultation on Tuesday night, will see the capped average rate increase by about $60 per assessment, or 3.5 per cent.
