LOCAL friends, Rosie Robertson, Alex Petersen and Nikki Satchell will be taking on Act for Peace’s ‘Ration Challenge’ this September to raise funds to help Syrian refugees based in Jordan.
Rosie said the challenge provided participants with some of the basic foods refugees survived on.
“We will be living on the same rations as a Syrian refugee for a week to raise money for emergency food, hygiene kits and life-saving support for those who have been hit hardest by the coronavirus pandemic,” she said.
From September 13-19, the trio will survive off ration packs that include 420g rice, 170g lentils, 85g dried chickpeas, 125g tinned sardines, 400g tinned kidney beans and 300ml vegetable oil.
