Shire launches new ‘Inspired by Locals’ campaign

THE Greater Hamilton region is being showcased in all its glory in homes across Victoria and South Australia with the launch of the new ‘Inspired by Locals’ campaign earlier this month.

Insider secrets from locals are at the heart of the Southern Grampians Shire’s marketing campaign, which encompasses evocative video content, interviews, blog posts and an interactive e-magazine according to manager economic development and tourism, Hugh Koch.

Mr Koch said like most things, the campaign had been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 global pandemic.

“Right now, when people are reconsidering where they live, where they work and what they do, it’s important that our people are sharing their experiences in what makes our region not only a wonderful place to visit, but to live, work, invest or study,” Mr Koch said. A diverse range of local identities form the basis of the campaign, including video content featuring The Bunyip Hotel’s Jimmy Campbell; Hamilton Botanic Gardens head gardener, Frank Verschuren; and Gazette vet and farmer, Elle Moyle, with each divulging their top three local attractions to visit, eat at and explore.
