VICTORIA will remain in lockdown beyond Thursday with premier, Daniel Andrews stating on Sunday there were too many cases to consider lifting the lockdown.
The lockdown was scheduled to last until midnight on Thursday, but with case numbers rising – reaching 92, the highest recorded in Victoria this year, on Sunday and 73 on Monday – Victorians will have to wait beyond the end of this week to get some of their freedom back.
Mr Andrews stated the case numbers were too high for the government to even consider lifting restrictions.
