AFTER the November election of a new Mayor for the Moyne Shire was thrown into turmoil with one councillor refusing to vote, rules governing future elections were amended at the recent council meeting at Koroit.

Item six on the meeting’s agenda “highlighted a lack of clarity regarding voting and declaration processes for the position of Mayor where there is an equality of votes”, and a small change to the wording of one clause was proposed.
