Rock the riverbank with twilight cinema

GET ready to rock the riverbank as the first free Glenelg Shire Twilight Cinema and Markets event for the year, hits Nelson next Saturday, 19 March.

Prepare to sing to your favourite 80s rock classics and enjoy a full day of family friendly entertainment, with the musical comedy film Rock of Ages on the big screen, as well as live music, a pop-up outdoor bar and local markets, on offer for event goers.

Glenelg Shire Council Mayor, Anita Rank said it was fantastic to see the return of local events.

“The Glenelg River is the perfect place to kick off our Twilight Cinema roadshow and we can’t wait to welcome locals and tourists to the popular township for a full day of music, movies and more,” she said.

“Outdoor markets will commence from 12pm, with live music and a pop-up outdoor bar at the Nelson Hotel starting from 5pm.

“Then settle in at 8.30pm with your camping chair, bean bag or picnic rug for the Twilight Cinema.

“It is not very often you get the chance to watch a movie on a cinema sized screen while sitting on the riverbank enjoying an Autumn’s evening with friends and family.

“So grab the family and head to Nelson for a day full of free family friendly entertainment as part of the Twilight Cinema roadshow.”

The day kicks off at midday and will run until late.
