Planting a tree for the Queen’s Jubilee

A plaque unveiling and tree planting event is being held this Friday by The Hamilton Coleraine Rail Reserve Committee (HCRRC) in honour of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Taking place at 6pm this Friday at the section of The Hamilton Coleraine Rail Reserve between Fairburns Road and Kenny St, Hamilton, the event will see the community plant over 260 regionally appropriate trees to enhance the area’s natural vegetation and leave a flourishing tree canopy that can be enjoyed well into the future.
