CARDS, gifts, and more are available once again from the Christian Book Shop, which opened last month to provide locals with a one stop shop for the festive season.
Run by volunteers from the Hamilton Lutheran Parish, the Christian Book Shop at the Hamilton Lutheran Church Hall runs every Thursday and Friday from 10am-3pm, until Friday, December 16.
Volunteer, Jan Welch, said the shop would have something to meet everyone’s needs with a wide selection of gifts and Christmas essentials available.
“We have Christmas cards, children’s books, gifts, nativity scenes, puzzle books, jigsaws and more,” she said.
“We also have CDs of Christmas music.
“There’s lots of Christian stuff.
“There’s something for everyone and at a really good price.”
So far, the most popular product this year has been the broad range of Christmas cards, which Ms Welch said would help brighten anyone’s Christmas.
“The cards go really quickly and the cards this year are just absolutely beautiful, there’s something really different about them,” she said.
The volunteers at the Christian Book Shop were kept busy on Thursday morning as they wrapped around 197 picture books, which Hamilton Lutheran Parish lay worker, Steve Liebelt, said would be given as Christmas gifts for each child at Good Shepherd Early Childhood Centre.
“Every child in the service will receive a book, from babies right through to the four-year-old kinder,” he said.
“The babies through to three-year-old kinder receive a Christmas story book and then the four-year-old kinder children receive a bible.”
Ms Welch encouraged all members of the community to stop by the Christian Book Shop for a browse and a chat, saying they would even provide a cup of coffee to those who want it.
