CAMPFIRES, barbecues, illegal burn-offs and on-farm fire risk all continue to raise alarms for police, parks and fire services.

Casterton Police Sergeant Tracie Kelly said despite extensive coverage and announcements in both mainstream and online media, she and other local members had attended several properties across the district in recent weeks, where residents continued to burn green waste, rubbish and other materials in open-air fires.
