KICKING off National Aboriginals and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Week and open to all the community is a flag raising ceremony at 10am on Monday, July 3, at the mother organisation of Winda-Mara, 21 Scott St, Heywood, followed by a 2pm smoking ceremony and afternoon tea in Hamilton at 107 Thompson Street.

The west bound lane of Thompson Street will be closed off for around half an hour for the duration of the Welcome to Country and dancing ceremony that precede a week-long program of NAIDOC events.
