Cattle competition grows as market rebounds

AGENTS yarded 109 Cattle at Friday’s market, consisting of 12 bulls, 27 trade and 70 cows. The market saw stronger competition across all grades.

The small offering of steers saw majority return to the paddock. Selling between 184 – 242 cents/kg. Contrastingly most of the heifers offered were of kill quality with a limited number returning to the paddock. These kill quality heifers sold up to 245 cents and averaged around 230 cents.
