LOCAL road users say despite massive increases in rates over recent years and millions of dollars in ‘bonus’ funding from the Federal Government, both Southern Grampians and Glenelg Shire continue to neglect vital access routes to local farms.
Jim and Marg Tierney and their family are multi-generation farmers on Tierneys road in Nareen and say despite years of complaints and reports to Southern Grampians Shire, their road and others which provide access to their property, continue to deteriorate to the point where they are a danger to both safety and infrastructure.
