Mixed news for regional Vic rentals

WHILE the release of a recent quarterly industry report indicated rent values in regional Victoria rose slower (1.5 per cent) than the national average (2.5 per cent) – but still faster than most other states – a Western Victoria MP recently said incoming compliance laws were set to make things worse for renters.

CoreLogic’s June Quarterly Review released earlier this week noted “a slowdown in the pace of national rental growth is now evident across the monthly, quarterly and annual trends, (but) rental growth remains well above average”.
