OCTOBER 14 has been set as the date for the Voice referendum, with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) still putting together the details of voting centres and giving a deadline for people being able to enrol in time if they have not already done so.

But the most important of the details that is already known is the text of the proposed change.
