SOUTHERN Grampians Shire Council (SGSC) will extend the due date for the first instalment of the 2023/24 rate payment by two weeks after it became evident notices could not be sent out according to normal schedule.

At Wednesday’s council meeting, SGSC People and Performance director, Darren Barber, explained some significant computer software changes and upgrades to internal processes had been delayed and a short extension was requested to maintain a consistency of time allowed for ratepayers to pay.
