A MAN is set to be interviewed and charged after he was cited by closed circuit television (CCTV) footage as well as witnesses nearby for graffitiing multiple places in Hamilton after the referendum result was released on Saturday night.
A police spokesperson said the incident occurred after the referendum results came through with a heavy defeat for the Yes campaign - multiple walls near or next to businesses in Hamilton were graffitied with the words “DID U VOTE “NO”? WELL, IGNORANCE IS BLISS.X”
Hamilton businesses targeted in the criminal act include NAB, The Hub, ANZ, O’Keefe Schroeder Lawyers, Coles, Speckled Frog and the IGA toilets.
