Remembrance Day

IN Flanders fields the poppies blow, between the crosses, row on row… Hamilton RSL member Kaye Jenkins with husband Reg, placing some of the 4000 handmade plastic poppies at the site of the Melville Oval Cenotaph ahead of the Remembrance Day service at 11am today. The poppies were made with help from Baimbridge College students using recycled lemonade bottles provided by the Grange Hostel and The Birches. Remembrance Day commemorates those Australians who have died and suffered, in all wars and armed conflicts.
