AFTER a three-year break, Portland Lions Club is re-introducing it free Children’s Fun Event at the Fauna Park.
On Wednesday January 10 from 11am to 2pm there will be jumping castles and face painting for children to enjoy.
The fun day out includes a free sausage sizzle for lunch, cooked by Lions members.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the annual event hasn’t taken place for three years, but the last time Lions held the event about 60 children enjoyed the fun.
“We try and do something for the younger generation, because to me and the rest of Lions it's something that we need to do, so they can see there are other things to do in life,” Lions member and event coordinator Max Oberlander.
The Portland Lions Club currently has 23 members who are all assisting in making the day fun for local families.
