HAMILTON Men’s Shed is excited to announce that they will be holding a garage sale this weekend. The Shed is a not-for-profit workshop consisting of friendly blokes who work together on meaningful projects for the community. Utilising a wide range of large, efficient woodworking machines alongside a variety of smaller power and hand tools, the workers can make almost anything out of wood.Over the years a range of items including tools, timber, chipboard and MDF sheeting have been donated to the Shed. While these donations and the thoughtfulness of the community are always appreciated, some items can become surplus to the project requirements. These are being offered at very low prices to raise funds for a Shed project, as well as to benefit home handy people and ‘DIY-ers’, with timber and tools at prices they can afford for their own personal projects.There will be a range of timber - hardwood and pine; power tools (tested and tagged) and hand tools, furniture, electrical equipment, records and CDs, antiques and old wares.The Shed Men will be on hand at the sale looking after browsers, ready to answer any questions about the Shed, its activities, community involvement, how to join, their contact details and Facebook page.The Shed is always open to new members wanting a chance to connect and chat around the fireplace, over a hot drink, shoulder to shoulder, in a safe and welcoming space.The sale is on this Saturday, February 17 from 8 am to 12 pm at 9A Port Fairy Road.
