A FREE Bushfire Planning Workshop is being held in Dunkeld next week, that aims to help participants construct fire plans and be bushfire ready, as a well-thought-out plan can save lives.
Those caught in a bushfire can be faced with noisy, smoky, hot and extremely stressful conditions.
In a group setting attendees will work through their plan step-by-step, with guidance from the CFA.
The fire safety specialists will use maps and other visuals tools to explain how a fire might impact property and how to use this and other local knowledge to be better prepared for a range of scenarios.
For those who cannot attend the workshop simply search cfa.vic.gov.au/plan-prepare and you should find information and advice there to assist you in getting bushfire ready.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 12 at Sterling Place, Dunkeld Community Centre from 6.00pm, and Pizza Supper will be provided.
